Although players had to fend for themselves when making their way through the campaign, the survival horror sequel also offered a unique competitive multiplayer mode. Moving the action from the ill-fated USG Ishimura to the labyrinthine Titan Station, referred to as The Sprawl in Dead Space 2, the story mode in Visceral Games’ survival horror sequel remained a solidly single-player experience when it was released in 2011.
